globeandmail.com : Liberals gearing up for final ground war

I just became an official member of the Liberal party, out of some inspired reason to want to have a voice in the direction of the country, and the leaders we choose to face up to those challenges. My vote is still torn between Stephane Dion and Michael Ignatieff, but I know who I'm not going to be voting for. This comment from Joe Volpe's staffer just abouts sums up the kind of attitude we need a lot less of in politics, and in society in general.

globeandmail.com : Liberals gearing up for final ground war:
"Joe Volpe, seen as having a strong organization but a relatively thin strand of support, will try to pull out only his supporters. Some party members are not even aware of the voting, so they will call identified supporters and ask again if they support Mr. Volpe.

'If they say yes, then we tell them where to go and vote. If they say no, we thank them for being a Liberal,' Mr. Volpe's national campaign manager, Nick Discepola, said.
'Why would we do the other people's work?'"
